My role as a business development manager for our industrial division involves contacting existing and potential customers, generating sales, discover new markets with existing and new products and build positive and strong customer relationships.

What are your professional strengths in this role?

Listening to and understanding customers’ requirements and recommending suitable products to meet these requirements where possible.

Thinking back, what was one job that you did really well that you know made a big difference to the results achieved for the customer or your team?

In conjunction with a major customer, worked on major changes(with HO) to one of our existing products resulting in a complete new range for the benefit of the customer and Ricky Richards nationally.

If there was one thing that you wished people could understand about the way you fulfil your role, what would it be?

2 things: Nothing is too much trouble, happy to help where and when I can. I don’t think people generally understand the amount of time that goes into fulfilling my role.
