We have always believed that our growth as a company should be mirrored by the support we give back to the communities we serve at Ricky. As we have expanded our presence across the Sunshine State, we felt it was the perfect time to deepen our roots in a way that truly matters.

We are incredibly proud to be in partnership with the Queensland Children’s Hospital Foundation (QCHF). To kick off this relationship, we recently visited the team to present our first donation cheque of $20,000 on 15 April.

Supporting the Whole Family

When a child is in hospital, the impact is felt by the entire family unit. We understand that medical care is only one part of the journey; emotional stability and togetherness are just as vital for a speedy recovery.

Our donation is specifically directed toward supporting accommodation for families. We know that many families travel from regional and remote areas of Queensland to access the world-class care provided at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. For these families, being close to their child isn’t just a comfort—it’s a necessity.

Why This Matters to Us

The stress of a hospital stay shouldn’t be compounded by the worry of where to sleep or the cost of staying in the city. By funding family accommodation, we are helping to ensure that:

  • Parents can stay bedside: Reducing the travel time and stress for caregivers.
  • Siblings stay connected: Helping the whole family unit feel comfortable and supported, even in a clinical environment.
  • Regional families aren’t left behind: Bridging the gap for those who live far from the hospital.

The First of Many

While we are thrilled to become a Sapphire Partner of the QCHF this year, this is just the beginning. This $20,000 donation represents the first of many contributions we plan to make as we grow alongside the Queensland community.

Our history with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation has shown us the power of a long-term commitment, and we are excited to bring that same level of dedication to the kids and families of Queensland.
