Business Development Manager

1.In words that potential customers, who know nothing about this business will understand, what is your role?

My role with RR, covering Qld and the Northern Rivers, is to discuss the best of the RR options for the project at hand and the market segment that our clients cover.  It is also my goal to share the Ricky story, primarily for the Sun Control division, not only with our direct customers but also with product training for their retailers.

 

2.What are your professional strengths in this role?

 My professional strength, in product come from over 25 years across a range of commercial and residential textiles from upholstery, curtain and health care fabrics and over 10 years in the blind industry within the Architect, Interior Designer, Decorator and wholesale markets. My professional strength, from a customer perspective, is my ability to listen and take timely actions.

 

3.Thinking back, what was one job that you did well that you know made a big difference to the results achieved for the customer or your team?

As the new kid on the RR block, I have no history to review.  However, in my past, there have been times were my ability to assist the customer in understanding the products worth and long term benefit has proven a very positive outcome for both the customer and the company.

 

4.If there was one thing that you wished people could understand about the way you fulfil your role, what would it be?

 It would be that I am their personal RR Resource Centre, here to assist them, partner with them if you will.  To ensure we both have a progressive and successful long-term business outcome.  No question or enquiry is too insignificant to be addressed.  I am here to help.

 

5.What do you hope to achieve in your role at Ricky Richards?

Long term relationships from the customers point of view and with the RR team as well.  A real family, together through the ups and downs and day-to-day of business needs.
