• Celebrating the ASCF Mobile Clinic: A Day That Reminded Us Why Community Matters

Our team had the privilege of celebrating something truly special — the launch of the first Australian Skin Cancer Foundation (ASCF) Mobile Clinic, an initiative that will bring life-saving early detection and education to communities across Australia. Standing beside ASCF Founder Jay Allen, and representing Ricky through Scott Gilbertson and Ron Gottlieb, we were reminded just how powerful it is when people come together for a purpose bigger than themselves.

From the moment we stepped inside the mobile clinic, it was clear this wasn’t just another project. It was a vision come to life — state-of-the-art technology designed to perform full-body skin checks, all packaged in a clinic that can travel to Australians who might never have access to this level of care. Regional towns, remote communities, people who need screening but can’t easily seek it… this clinic is built for them.

And being there, seeing it up close, made us feel incredibly grateful.

Grateful that we’re in a position to contribute.
Grateful that we can help champion a mission that genuinely saves lives.
Grateful that ASCF trusted us to stand beside them on this journey.

At Ricky, we’ve always believed in protecting people — whether through shade, UV-stabilised fabrics, or outdoor materials that help create safer environments under the Australian sun. But supporting ASCF goes beyond our products. It speaks to our values. It reflects who we are when we’re not selling fabrics or building campaigns. It shows what matters to us as people.

Skin cancer touches countless Australian families, workplaces, and communities. Jay Allen’s leadership and the ASCF’s relentless commitment to prevention, support and education continue to inspire us. This mobile clinic is a milestone — not just for the organisation, but for every Australian who will now have access to earlier detection and better outcomes.

We left the event feeling uplifted and deeply moved. There was joy, pride and a shared belief that this is only the beginning.

We’re honoured to support the ASCF.
We’re committed to staying beside them, every step of the way.
And we’re excited to help amplify their mission wherever and however we can.

To Jay, the ASCF team, and everyone who brought this incredible clinic to life:
thank you — for your vision, your heart, and your determination to protect Australians.

Here’s to greater access, earlier detection, safer communities…
and to continuing this partnership with everything we’ve got.
